What is Customized Client Services?

“Customized client services” a/k/a “unbundled legal services” or “limited scope representation” (collectively ‘LSR’) are when an attorney and a client agree that the attorney will perform some, but not all, aspects of the client’s legal matter. The client is responsible for handling any and all aspects of his or her own case for which the attorney has not been retained. This allows the client to choose the level and scope of representation he or she desires and provides predictable control over the cost of various legal services.

“When I came to Amy her law partner described her as ‘smart and ethical.’ To that, now, I would have to add some additional things. First, she has a spirit of fun that was really nice to have along the way. It extends from her sense of humor to her love of ‘artsy and weird.’ Most important, though, I would add that she has a genuine spirit of humanness. She helped me stay (get back) on an even keel and do the right thing that I really wanted to do all along. With her straightforward tact and sympathetic understanding and knowledge she was able to ease my ‘scares’ and concerns. She displayed humor, honesty, dignity, humility and compassion during the whole ordeal. Once again my most sincere thanks and I thank Amy for being a ‘friend’ through it all.  She beautifully handled my case not once but twice and is now my dear friend.  I will forever cherish our friendship.” - Debbie
I was very nervous and in foreign territory when looking for a divorce lawyer, but when I stepped into The Law Shop and met with Andrea, I felt immediately at ease. I didn't need to spend thousands of dollars for my divorce, they offered a documents only/flat rate option which is all I needed. Andrea took great care of me throughout the whole process and I felt like a priority. In the end, what I thought was going to be a nightmare, was a great experience. I would recommend The Law Shop to anyone going through a divorce. - Allie
"I have referred Amy to literally every person I know who is adopting (I think I'm at 3 and running!) and there is a reason for that!  Amy truly makes us feel like she cares about helping our family grow, and the best part is that I know it isn't an act - it is clear that she loves what she does and helping children find their forever families!” ~Elizabeth Skurdal
“I have known Amy J. Skogerson for many years. Over my many years of being in practice, I have found that lawyers who are successful are those who have earned the respect of their colleagues. Amy has achieved that lofty goal. She has earned the respect of her colleagues.”  - Patrick L. Wilson, Attorney, Des Moines, Iowa
