What are Customized Client Services?

“Customized client services” a/k/a “unbundled legal services” or “limited scope representation” (collectively ‘LSR’) are when an attorney and a client agree that the attorney will perform some, but not all, aspects of the client’s legal matter. The client is responsible for handling any and all aspects of his or her own case for which the attorney has not been retained. This allows the client to choose the level and scope of representation he or she desires and provides predictable control over the cost of various legal services.

“Getting divorced was never on my radar. It was a huge, horrible, unexpected shock. Working with Amy was a lifeline in many ways. Of course, her knowledge of the law was top-notch. But more than that was the care she showed me. Every meeting ended in a very tight hug. I get teary-eyed even now remembering it. She was very patient, willing to answer every single question I had (& still does when things pop up).  She listened and let me lead the way, but was also very clear in offering advice in areas that might work out better in a way I hadn’t thought of. I think the most glowing praise I can give her is that I have found out my ex has referred friends to Amy instead of the lawyer he used in our divorce!” - Heidi
“I have enjoyed working with Amy on several projects over the years. She brings good ideas and much enthusiasm to the table. She also is open minded to other’s suggestions and willing to work on those ideas as well.” ~Phil Garland, Attorney, Garner, Iowa
"I have referred Amy to literally every person I know who is adopting (I think I'm at 3 and running!) and there is a reason for that!  Amy truly makes us feel like she cares about helping our family grow, and the best part is that I know it isn't an act - it is clear that she loves what she does and helping children find their forever families!” ~Elizabeth Skurdal
“Amy and her team at The Law Shop handled 5 adoptions for us. From beginning to end they impressed us. The team made the adoptions easy, efficient and FUN! We will continue to refer our friends and family to The Law Shop for many, many years.” – Chris & David
