Ashley is a seasoned advocate with a passion for effective client communication and a commitment to providing comprehensive legal support. As a dedicated attorney, she understands the importance of creating a comfortable and non-judgmental atmosphere for clients, encouraging open discussion of even the most sensitive case details. Ashley believes in transparency, ensuring clients are well-informed about the progress of their cases and delivering information in a clear, accessible manner, free from complex legal terminology.
Raised on a century farm in northwest Iowa, Ashley draws on the values instilled by her upbringing—hard work, responsibility, and respect. Her background includes diverse experiences, from her mother’s entrepreneurial venture in the bridal industry to her globe-trotting Semester at Sea expedition during her time at the University of Iowa, where she earned a degree in Political Science in 2009.
Ashley’s legal journey began with a pivotal internship at the Iowa Division of Workers’ Compensation during her first year at Drake University Law School. Under the guidance of the Senior Deputy Commissioner, she gained a comprehensive understanding of workers’ compensation law. This foundational experience was further enriched by subsequent roles as a law clerk at both a defense and claimant’s workers’ compensation law firm, ultimately solidifying Ashley’s dedication to advocating for individuals.
With a decade of practice in workers’ compensation and personal injury law, Ashley has honed her skills in championing the rights of those who have suffered injuries, whether from car accidents, dog bites, slips and falls, or workplace incidents. Committed to collaboration, Ashley views her relationship with clients as a partnership, actively seeking their concerns and goals to achieve a fair outcome. Her professionalism extends beyond the courtroom, as she values family life in Waukee with her husband and three children.
In her leisure time, Ashley is an active parent, enjoys baking, gardening, and occasionally delving into DIY projects. A committed supporter of the Iowa Hawkeyes, she attends football games whenever possible.
If you seek dedicated representation for your personal injury or workers’ compensation case, Ashley welcomes the opportunity to meet with you. Feel free to reach out to her at 515-996-4045 or via email at ashley@lawshop.net.
